Our client is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in our projects by accurately estimating and managing the costs associated with construction, ensuring that projects are completed within budget and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Conducting cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and other expenses.
  • Analysing project specifications and drawings to accurately determine quantities and costs.
  • Preparing and presenting cost reports, budgets, and forecasts to project stakeholders.
  • Managing procurement processes and negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Monitoring project progress and costs, identifying potential cost overruns and implementing cost-saving measures.
  • Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure cost-effective project delivery.
  • Conducting regular site visits to assess progress and address any cost-related issues.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs.
  • Proficiency in quantity surveying software and MS Office applications.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Professional certification (e.g., MRICS) is preferred but not required.
