Foreman (Renovations and Building)

One of our clients in the construction and renovation industry has a permanent vacancy for an experienced and skilled Foreman to lead their renovations and building projects. The Foreman will oversee all aspects of construction projects, including planning, organizing, and supervising the work of construction teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, excellent leadership abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.

Job Description:

• Lead and supervise construction crews, subcontractors, and other workers on-site.
• Plan and schedule construction activities, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Monitor construction progress and quality, implementing measures to ensure adherence to safety regulations and industry standards.
• Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during construction, including disputes between workers or delays in materials delivery.
• Conduct regular site inspections to assess work quality, safety practices, and compliance with project specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of construction activities, including daily progress reports, material usage, and manpower allocation.
• Train and mentor construction workers, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and productivity.
• Procure materials, tools, and equipment needed for construction projects, ensuring that they meet quality standards and budget requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric/Grade 12
• Proven experience as a Foreman or similar role in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and supervise a diverse workforce.
• Solid understanding of safety regulations and procedures in the construction industry.
• Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on finding practical solutions to complex issues.
