Position Summary

In this role you will be responsible for MRP process & Accountable for Execution.

A day in the life of a Materials Planner :

  • Run MRP on the whole 18-month horizon and create PRs.
  • Place Purchase orders
  • Responsible to maintain the planning master data in the system for his/her own area of responsibility (e.g., plant or group of materials)
  • Responsible to maintain the materials stock policy in the system for his/her own area of responsibility (e.g., plant or group of materials)
  • Use the VRF tool or the Future Requirements Report and sends forecasts to MACC & PRISM, in close collaboration with the Strategic Materials Manager, the Procurement Specialist and the Procurement BP
  • Responsible to ensure smooth ordering process in collaboration with procurement as necessary.
  • Coordinates, and/or liaise with Procurement as needed, in case of supplier's escalation.
  • Is the contact to the supplier for the forecasting sharing in the NSP
  • Responsible for Hypercare and for Trials
  • Responsible for the execution i.e., Inbound Materials Management and minimizes write off/bad goods exposure.
  • Owns the VESOR and publication of the results of VES in NSP
  • Responsible for the execution of event management in the factory
  • Responsible in front of suppliers for ensuring supply operational topics, order confirmations, suppliers’ documentation, claims and returns.
  • Clarifies and resolves blocked invoices (quantity block related or price block related in case of QA analysis, customs, and transportation).
  • Train and develop MRP planners & buyers.

What will make you successful?

  • Degree: BCom or Engineering
  • 2- 3 years’ experience as an Operational Buyer in a FMCG company.
  • English speaking, as needed (e.g., suppliers abroad)
  • Eye for detail
  • Able to balance priorities.
  • Able to see the bigger picture beyond the scope of their job.
  • Thinks outside of the box.
  • Can challenge the current status quo.
