Laser Technician

The laser technician will form part of the Enlightened Isotope team. The main objective of this role is to work with the team generating a collimated atomic vapor in a high vacuum vessel, operating laser systems, combination of laser wavelengths, irradiation of vapor, TOFMS measurement of enrichment, product recovery, service, and maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct experiments.
• Capture date
• Suggest improvements and alternatives
• Maintain the facility.
• Calibrate instrumentation
• Assist with quality control
• Update SOPs

Requirements:

• At least 3 years' relevant experience
• Scientific method orientated organised, dedicated, accurate
• Problem solving skills
• Inquisitive
• Attention to detail
• Patient
• Interest in research
• Dedicated
• Willingness to learn and take advice from team members
• Able to work under pressure
• Computer literate Microsoft Office minimum
• Good communication skills
• Experience with gas handling (recommended)
• Strong Mechanical background
  • Skills in pipe work, pump, compressor mechanics.
