Financial Manager

Our client, a leading Maritime organisation, is looking for a Financial Manager to join their team. The client has been in operation for 30+ years and are dedicated to embracing the "Proudly South African" philosophy where all permanent employees enjoy a shareholding in the business. This role is best suited to a qualified CA(SA), who is eager to join a dynamic team, someone who has previous experience in a similar role and has experience managing a team.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate, comprehensive and timeous management accounts, budgets / forecasts, and annual financial statements
• Ensure compliance with internal processes and controls, as well as accounting standards, statutory audits and good codes of practice
• Ensure tax compliance and liaise with the tax authority
• Provide assistance and advice on administrative, accounting, tax, computer systems and procedures to management and staff
• Monitor cash, debtors and investment performance on an ongoing basis
• Manage the Finance Department, including performance management, training and development

Requirements:

• CA(SA)
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role
• Previous involvement managing operations across various locations within South Africa, as well as familiarity with operating in diverse jurisdictions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong negotiation, strategic thinking, and analytical skills
