Minimum Requirements:A relevant Doctoral DegreeRegistration with the HPCSA as a Counselling Psychologist for at least 3 yearsAt least 3 years experience in higher educationUndergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research experience in psychologyA record of accredited research publications commensurate with the academic rank of Senior LecturerPostgraduate supervision experience including successful Masters/Doctoral supervision commensurate with the academic rank of Senior LecturerAdded AdvantagesQualification/courses in higher education teaching and learningEvidence of successful external fundraising for research.Evidence of supporting early career academics.Recognition in a chosen area of research (e.g., NRF rating).Evidence of networking and collaboration beyond one institution in research and/or teachingEvidence of community engagement integrated with teaching, learning or researchDuties:Participate in research; curriculum design, development, and implementationTeach undergraduate and postgraduate modulesMeet research publication requirements for the academic rank of senior lecturer levelSecure external research grantsSupervise postgraduate studentsEstablish institutional, regional or national collaborationsContribute to mentorship of emergent academic staffParticipate in community engagement integrated with teaching and/or researchParticipate in administrative duties at departmental, faculty and university levelsClosing Date: 27 May 2024.To apply: Interested applicants who meet the criteria are invited to:
