Senior Student Regulatory Affairs Manager - Cape Town

Brief Description of the Vacancy: We are seeking an experienced and open-minded Student Regulatory Affairs Manager to join our esteemed campus in Cape Town. This senior position requires a dynamic individual with a strong background in higher education and management to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards pertaining to our student programs. Key Responsibilities and Duties: Serve on the Academic Exco team. Manage the regulatory and student affairs team and budget. Lead a small, deadline-driven team. Update and rewrite academic policies and the student handbook. Oversee the academic admission process, including international students, credit transfers, RPL applications, bursaries, and scholarships. Advise students on qualification completion and resolve academic record issues. Maintain the Internal Quality Assurance Management system and quality assurance processes. Serve on and chair academic committees. Ensure secure, complete, and safe record-keeping and data integrity. Optimize the use of technologies like the Student Information System and Learner Management System. Oversee the production of academic transcripts and resolve related disputes. Organize certification processes for diplomas and certificates. Liaise with accreditation bodies such as CHE and Seta’s. Manage student support services, including counselors, peer mentors/tutors, and writing labs. Develop and communicate academic year, registration, and examination calendars. Report on enrollments, student results, and student support services. Manage the academic aspect of the graduation process. Oversee NLRD uploads and the school's librarians and academic information systems. Oversee SRC elections and engagement. Collaborate on student orientation and onboarding processes. Qualifications: Master’s degree in Education, Marketing, Design, PR, Industrial Psychology, or related field (A PhD or current enrolment in a PhD is a definite advantage) 2-3 years of similar experience in a Higher Educational Institute 1-2 years leading a team of administrators Experience with Google Workspace, especially Google Sheets Familiarity with Zoom and scheduling capacities Fine attention to detail is imperative Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Moodle LMS Additional Requirements: Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Cape Town Comfortable working in a hybrid position (4 days on campus, 1 day remote) Open-minded and able to work with people from diverse backgrounds Excellent organizational and communication skills
