Together with our client, we are seeking a Logistics Controller in Cape Town Northern Suburbs to handle daily receiving and processing of transport orders.

Key Performance Areas:

Daily receiving and processing of transport orders.
Daily planning, routing, and scheduling of vehicles.
Risk management, including ensuring adequate insurance coverage for all loads and monitoring high-value loads from loading to delivery.
Adhering to booking slots for direct deliveries.
Daily measurement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in accordance with each client’s Service Level Agreement (SLA).
Building and managing professional relationships with key contacts at clients, warehouses, loading points, delivery points, and subcontractors.
Administration functions, including feeding all load data into the Transport Management System (TMS), reconciliation of Proof of Delivery (POD) documents, and recording and investigating in-transit claims .

Skills and Experience Required:

Matric and relevant qualification.
Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a similar controller position within the transportation and logistics industry.
Excellent communication skills with daily contact with clients, dispatch teams, delivery points, subcontractors, and drivers.
Proficient computer literacy, including experience with transport operational systems, MS Word, PowerPoint, and above-average MS Excel skills.
Well-versed in email etiquette and MS Outlook with strong writing skills.
Professional and service-driven approach to dealing with clients and service providers.
Neat, punctual, and highly organised.
Ability and willingness to work long hours and within strict collection and delivery time constraints.

Salary:

R 25 000.00 to R 30 000.00 CTC per month depending on experience.
