Area/Location: Franschhoek, Cape Town Overview: We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join a prestigious 5-star boutique hotel. As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction in our luxurious hotel environment. Key Responsibilities: Supervision and Training: Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the housekeeping staff. Assign tasks and ensure efficient completion of cleaning duties in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas. Train new housekeeping employees and provide ongoing coaching to ensure adherence to hotel standards. Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and adherence to hotel standards. Address any cleanliness or maintenance issues promptly and effectively. Monitor inventory and ensure adequate supply of cleaning materials and amenities. Guest Relations: Respond promptly to guest requests and concerns related to housekeeping services. Coordinate with front desk and other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with guests. Team Management: Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and leadership. Motivate and inspire the housekeeping team to achieve high performance and guest satisfaction. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff on a regular basis. Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards. Implement and enforce hotel policies and procedures related to housekeeping operations. Conduct regular training on safety protocols and procedures for the housekeeping team. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or similar role in a luxury hospitality environment. Excellent knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks. Stock Management Experience. Attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional service. Education and Certification: Matric Additional certification in housekeeping or hospitality management is a plus. Additional Requirements: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects as needed. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Skills: Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting and stock management. Ability to think strategically and solve problems effectively.
