Generator and Transformer Supervisor

Our client is seeking a Generator and Transformer Supervisor to join their team, based in East London.

Minimum Requirements:-

  • Technical degree or certification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance and operation of generators and transformers
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role preferred
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems and equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call for emergency situations
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Duties:-

  • Supervise a team of Technicians and Electricians in the maintenance and operation of generators and transformers
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures for generators and transformers
  • Monitor the performance of generators and transformers and troubleshoot any issues that may arise
  • Coordinate with vendors for the procurement of necessary parts and equipment for maintenance and repairs
  • Conduct regular inspections of generators and transformers to identify any potential problems and address them in a timely manner
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all maintenance and repair activities
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including equipment logs and maintenance reports
  • Train and mentor new Technicians and Electricians on proper maintenance and operation procedures for generators and transformers
  • Communicate effectively with Property Managers and other team members to ensure efficient and effective maintenance of generators and transformers
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in generator and transformer technology to make recommendations for improvements to systems
