EVENTS COORDINATOR : HISTORIC WINE ESTATE (STELLENBOSCH WINE ROUTE) Pick Me Recruitment is seeking an experienced Events Coordinator to take overall charge of an upmarket Wine Estate’s Events Portfolio on the Stellenbosch Wine Route. The ideal individual will have the relevant Tertiary Education, at least 5 year’s events coordinating / management experience, strong business and financial acumen with exceptional sales background, well connected within the industry, able manage stress, detail orientated exceptional communication and planning skills, resourceful and forward thinking. The key role is drive the Events and Banqueting sales for the property, to plan, oversee and manage, conduct site visits, event co-ordination, event planning, office and admin management, sales, inventory control. It is a prerequisite that the candidate resides in the winelands vicinity and have a valid driver’s licence & reliable vehicle. Key Responsibilities and Duties • Daily office operations that includes all financial, administrative and organising duties • Taking charge of all enquiries, site visits / viewings, event management admin, orders, supplier liaison, quotes, invoices • Inventory management • Schedule and manage logistical meetings • Staff management and rostering • Financial duties to include quotes, invoices, deposits, drive sales • Management of event, breakdown and control sheets, event contracts Position Requirements • Event Management Qualification, or similar • At least 5 years’ experience in events coordination • Be able to work under pressure • Must have good organization and communication skills • Must have knowledge of all food preparation and cooking • Must have previous experience with costing, stock control and staff management • Own Transport and driver’s license • Able to work weekends and public holidays Remuneration: Stipulate your salary expectation with your application.
