Alarm Systems Dispatcher

We are searching for a vigilant, detail-oriented alarm system dispatcher who will be responsible for responding quickly to alarm signals. The Alarm System Dispatcher will be responsible for operating alarm systems and making sure they are functioning properly, taking appropriate action when an alarm is triggered, and ensuring proper documentation and reporting of all alarm activity. Alarm Systems Dispatcher Core Skills High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Must successfully complete Dispatch Test Ability to pass all pre-employment screening(s) Answer incoming customer and technician calls and assist as applicable Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with customers and agencies Good verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate over the telephone and document activities Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a dynamic fast paced environment Monitor and protect integrity requirements for a secured facility Must possess the ability to use public address, radio and telephone communication systems with a clear voice (may be requested to demonstrate) Alarm Systems Dispatcher Responsibilities Encourage worker involvement including work planning and hazards identification and controls Respect a worker’s right to stop work when they feel his or her own or other’s personal safety is jeopardized Attend all required safety meetings and training Offer suggestions on improvements to the work environment Work with outside repair technicians, guards, to ensure that signals are received properly and that circuits and signaling devices are restored to normal operation Respond to alarm messages from multiple software applications accurately documenting each action taken for historical records Notify customer of alarm problems Answer incoming customer calls for alarm signals, helping to troubleshoot Opening service tickets for repairs and/or maintenance Data Entry in multiple databases
